Community Foundation Grants $15,300 to the Madison-Jefferson County Animal Shelter

The Community Foundation of Madison & Jefferson County (CFMJC) presented a $15,300 grant to the Madison-Jefferson County Animal Shelter (MJCAS) on August 10, 2022. COMMUNITY FOUNDATION GRANTS $15,300 TO THE MADISON-JEFFERSON COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER
Grant will be used for new dog fencing and runs

MADISON, IN – The Community Foundation of Madison & Jefferson County (CFMJC) presented the Madison-Jefferson County Animal Shelter with a grant of $15,300 on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 for new fencing and runs. The new fencing and runs will allow the animals to exercise without the risk of venturing to the nearby road and improves the quality of their stay while at the shelter.

“We were able to make this significant contribution by utilizing grant dollars from three different types of endowment options available at the Foundation,” said Bill Barnes, CFMJC President & CEO. “We are grateful to the donors who established Donor Advised, Field of Interest, and Flexible Community Fund endowments with us.” The $15,300 grant was made possible by funding from the following five endowments at the Community Foundation: the Community Foundation Board Member & Alumni Fund, the Morgan Family Advised Fund, the Dr. John W. Petscher Memorial Endowment, Spirit’s Fund, and the Wallis Family Fund.
