Troy Allen Pyles Memorial Scholarship

Troy Allen Pyles was a talented musician whose life was cut short due to pulmonary hypertension. He passed away in 1988 at the age of 15 before he was able to recieve a heart and lung transplant. At the time of his death, his parent, Vernon and Shirley Pyles, created the Troy Allen Pyles Memorial Scholarship with the Madison Consolidated High School Band Boosters.

In 2004, the Pyles and the Band Boosters decided to transfer the scholarship to the Community Foundation so that Troy’s memory could live on forever. This scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior of Madison Consolidated High School who participated in the high school band program for at least 4 semesters.
