George and June Miller Genealogy Fund

The George and June Miller Genealogy Fund was established by the Jefferson County Genealogical Society in 2022.

Even though he had moved away, George Miller never forgot his Madison roots. George was an accomplished journalist, having written for many newspapers across the country. He was well-known for his “Family Trees, Twigs, and Chips” genealogy column and his “It Reminds Me” feature in The Madison Courier. While living in Florida, George and June were both staff members at the University of South Florida. In 1998, they became members of the Jefferson County Genealogical Society.

Grants from this Field of Interest Fund will promote, encourage and sustain the research, documentation, and preservation of genealogy and history of Jefferson County, Indiana.
