These grants are made possible by donors to Unrestricted Endowments. These people did not direct how the grants were to be used, but rather gave the Foundation's Board of Directors the power to address changing community needs with these funds. Jefferson County Historical Society $2,000 - to help publish Jefferson County's Bicentennial Commemorative Book

John Paul Park Conservancy, Inc. $4,900 - for an engineering feasibility study

Madison-Jefferson County Animal Shelter $6,000 - for a 20x30 foot pole barn

Madison-Jefferson County Animal Shelter $530 - for the education of Jefferson County school children on the proper treatment of pets

City of Madison $715 - for band equipment and music for the Community Band

Madison Consolidated School Corporation $9,670 - for Team LEAD, an antibullying/leadership program

Jefferson County Preservation Council $1,700 - for the stabilization of the Cosby shotgun house

Jefferson County American Red Cross $351 - for a Cambro hot beverage dispenser

Jefferson County American Red Cross $609 - for 10 Actar D-Fib training manikins

Jefferson County 4-H Fairgrounds Association $25,000 - for replacing fairground buildings

Jefferson County United Way $1,500 - for the Day of Caring

Fall Grants

Salvation Army- Madison, Indiana Citadel $2,500.00 - Repairs to roof and mold cleanup.

Pathways Youth Shelter and Family Services $11,631.00 - Renovations to Pathways Youth Shelter.

Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana, Inc. $5,000.00 - Backsacks program that provides elementary school children who are at risk of hunger and malnutrition with a weekly sack of nutritious, shelf-stable food that will provide them with dietary support over the weekends and other times when they do not have acess to school breakfast and lunch.

Deputy Volunteer Fire Dept $15,000.00 - To purchase new firefighting turnout gear for all the firefighters in the department.

Habitat for Humanity of Jefferson County $3,000.00 - To replace two roofs at Habitat's new Jefferson County headquarters

City of Madison Parks & Recreation Department $2,869.00 to replace playground equipment.

City of Madison $2,000.00 - Fund a Riverfront interactive, public art piece reflecting past river flood levels.
