These advised funds, whose entire principal is granted out, are becoming popular with donors across the country. For example some of the Foundation's donors annually decide how much they want to give charities, make a lump some gift into their fund - usually of appreciated stock - and then from time to time advise the Foundation how they would like a grant from their fund to be used.
